I take inspiration from the natural and built environments I works with. I’m interested in how people interact with spaces and everyday objects. My work often features plants seen on my neighborhood walks and personal items. I enjoy working with colored pencil as well as pen and watercolor.

Between Rest & Momentum

I have spent a lot of time at home in the last year. In 2024, I began making plans for a better future. It’s been a practice of continuing to move forward with life, trying to create positive change, while allowing myself to rest. In this series, I’ve attempted to capture moments of pause in between the doing and rest.

Each piece in this series is meant to feel like a memory, bits and pieces standing out, but not a full sequence of events, much like trying to remember a dream. In each are items, moments, and textures that give me joy. Steam symbolizes movement and energy, evidence of effort, the product of which is allowed to flow.
